Resident Trainers:

Julie Hyslop BHSAI/BHSII

British Dressage Accredited Trainer - Julie owns VVEq with husband Mark. She trained at Talland with Pammy Hutton for 3 valuable years, She has 25 years of experience in horse care and just as important – customer care. She regularly rode as part of the hugely successful Fosse Manor team-chase team, evented and has done the Melton Cross Country Ride 10 times. She has ridden and produced show hacks and hunters at county level and qualified at HOYS. Julie has qualified and been placed at the Regional Dressage Championships for the last four years and has recently won the Medium Restricted Class at this year’s Regionals and secured her place at the Nationals in September.

Julie's young horse 'DHI Krackatoa' was purchased in March 2006 and had not been competed. Since Julie has owned him, he has won numerous BD tests and been consistently placed at the regionals and is now competing at Advanced Medium level. Julie trains with Ian Woodhead whose input over the last two years has been invaluable.

Julie has a great rapport with ‘quirky’ horses and freely admits to preferring retraining difficult horses and enjoys the challenge - Julie is always on the lookout for another special star to retrain.  Her pupils are out competing BD with great success and they don’t often come home without BD points or a qualification for the regionals.  Although she is passionate about training and competing with the dressage livery clients, she is equally caring about teaching the less experienced clients and puts her heart and soul into this.  Just as she enjoys training difficult horses she is very experienced and understanding when teaching a novice or nervous client who has perhaps experienced problems elsewhere.

Caroline Moore

FBHS, BE Accredited Trainer - Caroline has coached many competitive partnerships from grass roots level right up to advanced level eventing. Caroline is a Fellow of the BHS and a BE accredited coach and has recently been appointed as the British Eventing National u18 Coach. This was a 3 year programme providing extensive and exclusive coach training from international trainers such as Yogi Breisner, Kenneth Clawson, Lucinda Green and Ian Woodhead.

One of Caroline’s major coaching achievements has been getting the Belvoir Pony Club Horse Trials Team through to the championship for the third year running. Out of 32 top national teams they achieved 5th place in 2003 and runners up in 2004 and 2005. Caroline’s own competitive career has mainly consisted of bringing young event horses up through the grades. She has ridden successfully at four CCI**, five CCI*** and has ridden around Burghley CCI**** twice. In 2007 she took part in the Olympic test event in Hong Kong on Don Giovanni. Caroline is an outstanding, highly driven and hugely inspirational eventing trainer. Caroline runs training sessions Monday to Wednesday and Clear Round jump schooling on most Tuesday afternoons.
